MOFRO: RECORD OF THE DECADE
Blackwater, which we originally announced as "the debut album from Jacksonville, Florida's best kept secret" has been named one of the Best of the Decade in Music by amazon.com. It's up there with Beck, d'Angelo, White Stripes, Radiohead and the Oh Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack... and is one of the only records NOT released by a major label to make the cut.
So it seems like it's time to come up with a new description. Um... how about "a Fog City classic"? Haven't heard it yet? Don't know the meaning of "front porch soul"? Want to hear what it meant to special guest Robert Walter? Please, avoid the shame and embarrassment of having your friends find out - get your copy, and spread the word! You may also wish to bring yourself up to speed by checking out this spotlight story aired by NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO's Morning Edition. Sweet.
